What We Mean by AI-Informed Education
Artificial intelligence is reshaping how people learn, work, create, communicate, and make decisions. Education cannot prepare learners for the future by treating AI only as a threat, a shortcut, or a passing trend.
At RezOne British Academy, we take a more thoughtful approach.
We believe every learner deserves to understand artificial intelligence deeply: what it can do, how it reaches conclusions, where it may fail, whose assumptions may shape it, and when human judgement must take precedence.
This is particularly important for gifted, talented, neurodivergent, and exceptionally curious learners. These learners often seek explanations beyond the surface. They identify patterns, question assumptions, pursue complex ideas, and need opportunities to explore the ethical, technical, and human consequences of emerging technologies.
AI-informed education at RezOne British Academy means helping learners become informed users, critical evaluators, responsible creators, and thoughtful decision-makers.
It does not mean AI instead of teachers. It does not mean automated systems replacing professional judgement. It means using technology carefully and transparently to strengthen personalisation, deepen enquiry, improve feedback, and extend what excellent educators can offer.
The Human Decisions Framework™
At the heart of our approach is the Human Decisions Framework™, a structured educational model developed by RezOne British Academy to help learners engage with artificial intelligence critically, ethically, and confidently.
The Human Decisions Framework™ teaches learners to examine four essential questions:
These questions are not reserved for specialist Computing lessons or older students. They are introduced gradually and revisited with increasing depth throughout a learner’s educational journey.
In the earliest years, learners begin by recognising that technology is created by people and can sometimes make mistakes. As they progress, they explore algorithms, data, bias, evidence, automation, ethics, accountability, and the wider impact of AI on society and professional life.
AI Literacy Across Every Learning Pathway
AI literacy at RezOne British Academy is not treated as an isolated topic or optional extension. It is embedded, with age-appropriate depth and challenge, across our curriculum and learning pathways.

AI as a Teaching and Learning Tool
Artificial intelligence may also support how learning is designed, delivered, reviewed, and improved at RezOne British Academy.
Subject to appropriate safeguarding, privacy, quality-assurance, and governance controls, educators may use approved tools to identify patterns in learner progress, develop differentiated resources, provide formative feedback, extend intellectual challenge, and adapt learning activities to individual strengths and needs.
Our educators remain responsible for understanding the learner, interpreting evidence, exercising professional judgement, and maintaining the trusted relationships on which meaningful education depends.
Transparency, Safety and Human Oversight
Responsible AI use requires more than enthusiasm for innovation. It requires clear boundaries, transparency, evidence, accountability, and the willingness to acknowledge uncertainty.
- AI supports teaching but does not replace qualified educators
- Significant decisions remain subject to human judgement and review
- Learner information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy, safeguarding, and data-protection requirements
- AI-generated content must be reviewed for accuracy, bias, appropriateness, and educational value
- Learners are taught to disclose and reflect upon appropriate use of AI in their work
- Uncertainty, limitations, and disagreement are made visible rather than concealed
- Approved technologies are selected and reviewed through appropriate educational and governance processes
Supporting Academic Integrity
We do not approach academic integrity by pretending that artificial intelligence does not exist. Instead, we teach learners how to use it appropriately, disclose its use honestly, verify its outputs, and distinguish assistance from authorship.
Expectations vary according to the learner’s age, subject, task, qualification, and awarding-body requirements. Some activities may encourage carefully documented AI use, while others may require entirely independent work.
Submitting unverified or undisclosed AI-generated work as one’s own does not demonstrate learning. Genuine achievement requires intellectual ownership, critical engagement, and the ability to explain, justify, and defend one’s thinking.
Our Digital & AI Literacy Framework
The RezOne Digital & AI Literacy framework provides the pedagogical foundation for our work in this area. It supports progressive learning across age groups, subjects, and professional contexts.
The framework develops understanding across seven interconnected areas:

Why This Matters
The learners entering education today will live and work alongside forms of artificial intelligence that are still evolving. They will encounter systems capable of generating persuasive language, analysing complex information, automating professional tasks, influencing opportunities, and shaping important decisions.
Preparing them cannot mean teaching only how to operate the tools that exist now. It must mean cultivating the intellectual independence to question new systems, the knowledge to evaluate evidence, the confidence to challenge automated conclusions, and the ethical maturity to recognise when responsibility cannot be delegated.
